Men’s Ministry

« 13 September 2007 | 22:49 | Our Ministries | Comments Off »

Men’s prayer meets every Friday morning in the fellowship hall from 6 am to 7am for a time of prayer. We believe that setting the example as the spiritual leaders is important and praying together is a great beginning. If you can not come for the entire hour, we encourage you to stop in and pray for as long as you can, free hot coffee is provided.

Men’s bible study meets every Saturday from 8am to 10 am at Bob Altom’s home. This is a great opportunity to connect with your brothers, share each others burdens and learn the Word of God. We encourage prayer, accountability, discussion and fellowship.

Men’s prayer breakfast meets the third Saturday of each month at the Viking Restaurant in Stanwood in lieu of the men’s bible study. We meet from 8am to 10 am.

Women’s Ministry

Our vision for the women of Calvary Chapel Stanwood is to see them have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, be loved by sisters in the Lord, have their hearts healed and grow to serve Jesus Christ with their heart and lives.

Tuesday women’s bible study from 10 am to 11 am with childcare provided, is a verse by verse study through the Word of God. We meet every Tuesday morning and enjoy bible study and fellowship afterwards. If you are looking to get connected with the ladies in the body, this is a great way to do so. We meet in the Sanctuary at the church

Friday’s Youth Night

« 13 September 2007 | 22:48 | Our Ministries | Comments Off »

Friday’s for the youth is a ministry dedicated to the middle school and high school aged kids. We believe the need for our youth to have a strong foundation and to be sold out for Jesus is greater than it has ever been. The youth of today are our pastor’s and leaders of tomorrow. Our goal for Friday’s is to show the kids the love of Jesus Christ, teach them the Word of God and allow them a safe place to have fun and hang out with each other and worship the Lord with their style of music. We plan different events through out the year for the kids to have fun, learn out to witness and bring friends in to a church environment.

Time to Live One Step Drug and Alcohol Recovery Fellowship

« 13 September 2007 | 22:47 | Our Ministries | Comments Off »

Time to Live is a drug and alcohol recovery fellowship. The concept, born out of Calvary Costa Mesa’s Pastor Carlos Ayoub, has been active at CC Stanwood since 2002. We had many people coming to our fellowship that were exiting drug and alcohol abuse, many had court appointed mandatory meetings every week for Alcoholics Anonymous, but they wanted something more Bible based. So weekly, the men gather and meet for Bible study, prayer and accountability. We believe that Jesus is the One step that will free us from our addictions, whatever they maybe. We began with about four people and have watched it grow over the years to a thriving ministry. Many have come and met Jesus Christ through the fellowhsip. This is an interactive discussion based on biblical principles directly from the Word of God. We are authorized to sign court slips for those that are in need of it.
